3 DAYS PROGRAM
Vincent van Gogh ( 1853 -1890 ) is a world-famous artist whose works are scattered throughout the world. But this master’s roots lie in Brabant. He was born, raised and created his first masterpiece The Potato Eaters in this Southern province of the Netherlands. We will follow his tracks in the Netherlands.
Night of arrival : stay at the NH Hotel Koningshof , 15 minutes by road to Einhoven.
Day 1 – ‘s Hertogenbosch and Nuenen
We will start at ‘s-Hertogenbosch and visit the North Brabant museum. The North Brabant museum highlights the art and history of Brabant in the Southern Netherlands. This museum is the only location in the region where paintings by van Gogh can be seen. ’s-Hertogenbosch is one of the oldest medieval cities in the Netherlands. The maze of narrow medieval streets and alleyways can be explored on foot. Another option is to admire Den Bosch from its waterways, the Binnendieze. In the afternoon we will visit Nuenen.
Nuenen is an ‘outdoor museum ‘with no fewer than 21 buildings and locations in the vicinity which have a direct relationship with van Gogh’s stay and work. In the Vincentre you can witness how Vincent van Gogh
lived and painted in Nuenen. The most modern audiovisual technology will convince you that you have stepped back into Vincent’s time.
Second night : stay at the NH Hotel Koningshof
Day 2 – Amsterdam and van Gogh Museum
In the morning, we will travel to Amsterdam and visit the van Gogh Museum which has the world’s most extensive Vincent van Gogh collection showing his artistic development. After lunch, we will have a guided city tour followed by a canal cruise to discover the historic city of Amsterdam. An unforgettable experience!

Day 3 – Kröller Müller museum and National Park de Hoge Veluwe
A visit to the Kröller-Müller Museum is a real experience. A voyage of discovery that begins at the entrance to De Hoge Veluwe National Park. It is recommended to combine a museum trip with a visit to Jachthuis Sint Hubertus, a picnic, a walk or cycle ride. The Kröller-Müller Museum is Vincent van Gogh’s second home. With almost 90 paintings and over 180 drawings, the museum has the second-largest Van Gogh collection in the world. After the visit to the museum, you can enjoy the sculpture garden, one of the largest in Europe, a combination of sculptures and nature.
