On our Tuscany Wine Tasting Experience, you will stay in Villa il Poggiale, a manor house – hotel located in the heart of Tuscany near San Casciano in Val di Pesa is listed as a ‘Historical Residence’ of Italy. This luxury Renaissance villa, is a magical place on the hills outside Florence (18 km) on the border with Chianti and tastefully restored by the owners. Villa Il Poggiale is surrounded by cypress trees, vineyards and olive groves, reminiscent of landscapes seen in Tuscan Renaissance paintings. We highly suggest this property, because guests feel like they are at home, and it is the perfect location to reach the main Tuscan highlights such as Siena, San Gimignano, and of course Florence. Guests can enjoy a relaxing stay or take easy day trips to take in the art, flavours and fragrances of one of the most famous regions in the world known for its fine wines and olive oil and Chianti. Coming back “home” to Il Poggiale each evening, it’s time to relax with a dip in the pool or a drink in the rose garden.
Pisa Airport can be reached in 1 hour approx. by car.
It’s possible to provide the rental car from Florence City Centre as well ( on request). At the moment, the car is from Pisa. If you prefer Florence city centre, we can arrange this and add a transfer to the car rental office from the Airport. Florence Airport (40 minutes approx)
Regarding the Wine tasting Experience with lunch, we have decided to include Podere la Marronaia. We could call it a true “love at first sight” for Luigi Dei and Silvia Morrocchi, in the year 2000, in front of the old ruin of the Podere Marronaia, they decided to start a new life project.
The preference for organic farming has been present since the beginning, and started with the recovery of the Podere La Marronaia. The strong desire of a “return to earth”, to the slow and genuine rhythms and at the same time to open their lives and their project, to tourism and products aimed to people with the same values of respect for nature.
Distance from Villa il Poggiale is approx. 40 minutes drive.

Whilst you are in the vicinity of Florence, you can see some wonderful sights and visit many Art Galleries, if you wish. You can also drive into Pisa too as well as the beautiful surrounding villages
