On our Cote D’Azur Luxury Perfume Making Experience, you will stay in The Chevre D’Or Hotel in Eze, in a Classic Room including Breakfast and enjoy an unforgettable Perfume Making Experience also in the village of Eze.
The medieval village of Eze is perched high on a hill above the French Riviera in south-east Provence from where it has lovely views along the coast and out across the sea.
Eze is one of the most beautiful villages in France and an unmissable highlight of a visit to south-east France. Due to the charm of the village, its tropical garden, and its proximity to the major resorts of the riviera such as Nice, it is true that Eze attracts a lot of visitors and can get quite crowded but that does not detract from the pleasure of a visit.
The whole medieval village is pedestrianised so you will need to park in the car park below. Next to the car park you can also find the Eze tourist office. The tourist guide has a useful map to help you explore and with information about the monuments to look out for in the village.
Hotel Chevre D’Or:
Nature is everywhere at Château de la Chèvre d’Or. There are lots of different gardens filled with sculptures, fountains, waterfalls, flowers, herbs, trees and shrubs. The area is perfumed with the scents of jasmine, bougainvillea and roses. The magnificent colours create a framework that blends into the horizon and the sea. This will take you into a voyage where it is pleasant to just relax or stroll around and breath in the freshness.
The many terraces provide you with lots of places to completely relax. Fresh and tranquil spots, which all have an incredible view over the Mediterranean and the hillsides, illuminated by sunlight. All the pastel colours melt together to form a magical setting.
Please note: There are many steps in and around the hotel.
Fragonard Perfume Factory
Established in 1926, the factory was orginally a tannery in the 18th century. Completely renovated and enhanced in 2013, it offers an original journey of discovery of the mysteries of traditional perfumery, from the treatment of raw materials to the packaging of finished products. The machines used offer historical, social and cultural interest in the techniques and working conditions governing family perfumeries until the 1950s.
A visit to the perfume museum installed in these premises allows you to explore the world of perfume from Antiquity to the present day where you can see precious objects of perfumery (Egyptian make-up spoons, medieval pomanders, etc.)
